Meeting a New Friend

Ms. Kim went out with her friend Georgie on Saturday and they came back to the house. I remembered seeing her before but still wasn't sure who she was so I kept my distance even tho she was calling my name...how'd she know my name as I don't know hers? Eventually she sat down and talked with Ms. Kim while Mocha and Lana went up to her to get loving. I figured if they went up to her then she must be ok so I slowly approached her and she had her hand out! I quickly sniffed and then walked off. That was enough for me!! She was sooo excited that I even did that as it was an improvement over the last time where I just stared at her from outside as I was too scared to come in. Ms. Kim was quite happy too and said I'm coming around quicker with meeting women. Yeah me!!

Walks!!

Ever since my breakthrough a couple of weeks ago, Ms. Kim and I along with Mocha usually go on a walk around the neighborhood. I'm starting to get the hang of this so now every time she leashes one up, I think I should be going to and try to sneak out the door so Ms. Kim says it's getting harder for her to leave! Ms. Kim says that I must be getting used to the walking as now I'm starting to pull just as much as Mocha and the others! She was able to take a few pics tonight. Unfortunately we got closer to a dad and daughter and I really started to freak out and try to get away but Ms. Kim held on and told me everything was ok and we walked fast away. Whew!! I know one of these days I'll be ok around men and I wish I could tell Ms. Kim why I don't like them but I just can't. I hope she still takes me out on walks with my buddy Mocha!! [Kim] Don't worry, Houdini, you'll still get your walks!!

Crazy Women but I Survived!

Ms. Kim had a bunch of women over tonight and they were loud but I did good as I didn't really freak out too much. Good thing I had my dog buddies around to help me!! Ms. Delilah came over and I let her pet me which she was excited about, as well as some of the other women. Mostly I just laid down in my "comfort" spot and Ms. Kim would come by and give me love and tell me everything was ok and that I was doing good!! Here's a pic of me still recuperating the next day! ;-)

Huge Step for Houdini

I had a breakthrough today and Ms. Kim and everyone is sooooo excited about it!! For awhile now I've been getting excited every time the leashes come out and Ms. Kim takes 1 or all of my siblings out the garage door and leave. Today was my chance to be brave and I let her hook on the leash and ALL of us went out the garage!! Wooohooooo!!! I think she wanted me to get in the SUV with the others but I wasn't quite ready for that so she put the girls back in and Mocha and I got to go out on a walk around the neighborhood!!! I was soooo happy to be out and exploring things!! Did ok seeing a mom, daughter and small dog from a distance but then I saw a man sitting in the driveway and I didn't like it much so we turned around and headed back. Ms. Kim was soooo excited she texted everyone!!

Making progress...sorta

Welp, I'm confusing Ms. Kim as I still run away whenever Mr. Carl comes home but yet, I surprised her the other day when I jumped on the bed when he was laying there and even leaned over to sniff his hand. I also took some treats from him while laying in bed another time. However, I guess I still don't completely trust him yet as I still run or won't walk past him to see Ms. Kim. I'm still learning and they're being very patient with me!
